【摘要】:Thistestmethodisintendedforuseincomparingthebondstrengths(underthegivenconditions)ofmasonrymortars,asdeterminedinaccordancewithTestMethodC1072.Thistestmethodcouldbeused,forexample,tocheckoneaspectofthequalityofmortarproductsafterproduction,ortoindicatethebondpotentialofamortarproductwithoutrequiringtheproducttobetestedincombinationwithmanydifferentunits.Thistestmethodusescontrolledconditionsoffabricationandcuringthatarenotintendedtorepresentfieldconditions.Thistestmethodusesstandardconcretemasonryunits.Mortarsarebatchedbyweightequivalentsofvolumeproportionsandaremixedtoaprescribedflow.Prismsareconstructedusingajigandarebag-cured.Flexuralbondstrengthdeterminedbythistestmethodshallnotbeinterpretedastheflexuralbondstrengthofawall(becausestandardunitsarenotusedforwallconstruction),norshallitbeinterpretedasanindicationofextentofbondforpurposesofwaterpermeabilityevaluation.1.1Thesetestmethodscovertheevaluationofflexuralbondstrength,normaltothebedjoints,ofmasonrybuiltofmanufacturedmasonryunits,asdeterminedinaccordancewithTestMethodC1072.Samplingandtestingproceduresarereferenced,andtermsaredefined.Twodifferenttestmethodsarespecified,eachforadifferentpurpose:1.1.1Thefirsttestmethodisthex201C;TestMethodforLaboratory-PreparedSpecimens.x201D;Itspurposeistocomparethebondstrengths(underthegivenconditions)ofmasonrymortars.Itcouldbeused,forexample,tocheckthequalityofmortarproductsafterproduction,ortoindicatethebondstrength(underthegivenconditions)ofamortarproductwithoutrequiringtheproducttobetestedincombinationwithmanydifferentunits.Itisnotintendedtorepresentfieldconditions.Itusesstandardconcretemasonryunits.Mortarsarebatchedbyweightequivalentsofvolumeproportionsandaremixedtoaprescribedflow.Prismsareconstructedusingajigandarebag-cured.Note18212;Standardfiredclaymasonryunitsareunderdevelopmentbutarenotnowavailable.Whentheirdevelopmentiscomplete,theywillbeincorporatedintothesetestmethods.1.1.2Thesecondtestmethodisthex201C;TestMethodforField-PreparedSpecimens.x201D;Itspurposeistoevaluatethebondstrength(underthegivenconditions)ofaparticularunit-mortarcombination,eitherforpreconstructionevaluationofmaterialsorforqualitycontrolpurposesduringconstruction.Mortarsarebatchedconventionally,andtheflowisnotprescribed.Prismsareconstructedconventionally(nojig)andarebag-cured.1.1.3Thetwotestmethodsarenotconsistent,noraretheyintendedtobe.Theyareintendedtobeusedfortwodifferentpurposes.Tomakethisclear,thetwomethodsarepresentedseparately.1.1.4AppendixX1suggeststwopossiblecriteriaforassessingthebondstrengthvaluesobtainedusingthesetestmethods.Thesepossibleevaluationcriteriaaregivenforillustrationonlyandarenotmandatory.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddetermine......
