【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversthreeproceduresforthedeterminationoftotalsulfurinpetroleumproductsincludinglubricatingoilscontainingadditives,andinadditiveconcentrates.Thistestmethodisapplicabletosamplesboilingabove177?C(350?F)andcontainingnotlessthan0.06mass%sulfur.Twoofthethreeproceduresuseiodatedetection;oneemployinganinductionfurnaceforpyrolysis,theotheraresistancefurnace.ThethirdprocedureusesIRdetectionfollowingpyrolysisinaresistancefurnace.Petroleumcokecontainingupto8mass%sulfurcanbeanalyzed.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
