【摘要】:ISO22030:2005describesamethodfordeterminingtheinhibitionofthegrowthandreproductivecapabilityofhigherplantsbysoilsundercontrolledconditions.Twospeciesarerecommended:arapid-cyclingvariantofturniprape(BrassicarapaCrGCsyn.Rbr)andoat(Avenasativa).Thedurationoftestshouldbesufficienttoincludechronicendpointsthatdemonstratethereproductivecapabilityofthetestplants.Byusingnaturaltestsoils,e.g.fromcontaminatedsitesorremediatedsoils,andbycomparingthedevelopmentofthetestplantsinthesesoilswithreferenceorstandardcontrolsoils,thetestisapplicabletoassesssoilquality,especiallythefunctionofthesoilasahabitatforplants.Thismethodcanbemodifiedtoallowuseofthechronicplantassayforthetestingofchemicalsincorporatedintosoil.Bypreparingadilutionseriesofatestsubstanceinstandardcontrolsoils,thesameendpointscanbemeasuredtoassessthechronictoxicityofchemicals.Thismethodisnotapplicabletovolatilesubstances,i.e.substancesforwhichHenry'sconstantortheair/waterpartitioncoefficientisgreaterthan1,orforwhichthevapourpressureexceeds0,0133Paat25°C.
