【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesamethodfordeterminingthenon-volatile-mattercontentbymassofpaints,varnishes,bindersforpaintsandvarnishes,polymerdispersionsandcondensationresinssuchasphenolicresins(resols,novolaksolutions,etc.).Themethodisalsoapplicabletoformulateddispersionscontainingfillers,pigmentsandotherauxiliaries(e.g.thickenersandfilm-formingagents).Forthemethodtobeusableforunplasticizedpolymerdispersionsandrubberlatices,thenon-volatileresidue(whichconsistsessentiallyofthepolymericmaterialandofsmallquantitiesofauxiliariessuchasemulsifiers,protectivecolloids,stabilizers,solventsaddedasfilm-formingagentsand--especiallyforrubberlatexconcentrate--preservingagents)hastobechemicallystableunderthetestconditions.Forplasticizedsamples,theresidue,bydefinition,normallyincludestheplasticizer.NOTEIThenon-volatile-mattercontentofaproductisnotanabsolutequantitybutdependsuponthetemperatureQandperiodofheatingusedforthedetermination.Consequently,whenusingthismethod,onlyrelativeandnottruevaluesfornon-volatile-mattercontentareobtainedowingtosolventretention,thermaldecompositionandevaporationofIowmolecularmassconstituents.Themethodisthereforeprimarilyintendedfortestingdifferentbatchesofthesametypeofproduct.NOTE2Thismethodissuitableforsyntheticrubberlaticesprovidedheatingforaspecificperiodoftimeisconsideredappropriate(ISO124specifiesheatinguntilthelossinmassofa2gtestportionfollowingsuccessiveperiodsofheatingislessthan0,5rog).NOTE3In-housemethodsfordeterminingnon-volatilematteroftenincludedryingwithinfraredormicrowaveradiation.Standardizationofsuchmethodsisnotpossible,sincetheyarenetgenerallyapplicable.Somepolymercompositionstendtodecomposeduringsuchtreatmentandthereforegiveincorrectresults.ISO3233andISO23811specifymethodsfordeterminingthevolumeofnon-volatilematterinpaints,varnishesandrelatedproducts.
