【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesproceduresforevaluatingthethermalenduranceofrigidelectricalinsulatingmaterials.Dielectricstrength,flexuralstrength,orwaterabsorptionaredeterminedatroomtemperatureafteragingforincreasingperiodsoftimeinairatselected-elevatedtemperatures.Athermal-endurancegraphisplottedusingaselectedendpointateachagingtemperature.Ameansisdescribedfordeterminingatemperatureindexbyextrapolationofthethermalendurancegraphtoaselectedtime.Thistestmethodismostapplicabletorigidelectricalinsulationsuchassupports,spacers,voltagebarriers,coilforms,terminalboards,circuitboardsandenclosuresformanytypesofapplicationwhereretentionoftheselectedpropertyafterheatagingisimportant.Whendielectricstrengthisusedastheagingcriterion,thistestmethodmayalsobeusedforsomethinsheet(flexible)materials,whichbecomerigidwiththermalaging,butisnotintendedtoreplaceTestMethodD1830forthosematerialswhichmustretainadegreeofflexibilityinuse.Thistestmethodisnotapplicabletoceramics,glass,orsimilarinorganicmaterials.Thevaluesstatedinmetricunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Otherunits(inparentheses)areprovidedforinformation.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Aspecificwarningstatementisgivenin10.3.4.
